Kemboocha was born out of my love of fermented foods. I discovered fermented foods many years ago, when all 5 of my children were living at home and really young. I’ve always looked for ways to incorporate nourishing foods into my family’s diet. I was visiting my Mom in Nashville and discovered Kombucha. I bought a bottle, which was a real treat for me. With 5 little ones at home, I knew I would not purchase this on a regular basis. Since I had never seen it before on store shelves. My curiosity led me to purchase and try it. As I always do, I read the label to see what was in the bottle. It seemed simple enough. As I started researching Kombucha I discovered the potency and power of the product. I started reading all about it and asking people I knew in my homeschool community about it. A few of the Mom’s had heard about it. One in particular was making her own. She shared her recipe with me. I began making my own.
My family loved it so much that I never stopped. In fact, if there were times, when I didn’t have a batch brewing they constantly asked when there would be more. Honestly I did it to avoid buying juices, sodas and other sugary drinks.
